About the event

You do not have to be a politician, a lawyer, or an activist to engage with your legislature, you just have to care.

In this Circle, we will demystify the legislative process and explore the practical ways everyday women can make their voices heard. Whether you have always wanted to submit testimony but did not know where to start, or you have never considered that your own story could influence policy, this conversation is for you.

We will explore questions like:

  • What issues in your community make you want to speak up — and what has stopped you?

  • Have you ever been affected by a law or policy and not known you could have had a say in it?

  • What would it look like to use your own lived experience as a form of advocacy?

  • Who in your life has modeled civic engagement — and what did that teach you?

Come ready to learn, ask questions, and leave with at least one concrete step you can take to engage. Your voice belongs in the room — including the legislative one. 🌺
