About the event
AAUW at UH Mānoa interns had the opportunity to attend the AAUW Hawaiʻi State Convention at Volcano on the island of Hawaiʻi. In this month's Talk Story Tuesday, they will be recapping the convention and sharing their experiences from that weekend.
Last year’s 2022 AAUW of Hawaii State convention was held from September 30th to October 2nd at the Kilauea Military Camp. The theme of the conference was Climate Change and its Impact on Women. Attendees enjoyed the beauty of the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park while connecting with women from the mainland and across the state.
Mahalo to AAUW Hilo for hosting the convention, the wonderful speakers who shared their knowledge about their respective fields, and the members who donated to send the UH Manoa and KCC students to the convention. It was an inspiring event that brought together an entire community committed to advocating for the women and girls of Hawai’i.
